Redundant and Standalone License Servers

This product is licensed via the popular license manager, FLEXnet, which supports standalone license servers, and 3-server redundant license server nodes. With three-server redundancy, if any two of the three license servers are up and running (2 out of 3 license servers is a quorum), the system is functional and manages its total complement of licenses. Macrovision, makers of FLEXnet, recommend that these redundant servers have excellent communications and should be on the same subnet [generally, they should be physically close to one another]. The three redundant servers will exchange diagnostic information regularly, and poor communications can degrade your system performance.

By default, each GO-Global host you install is automatically initialized as a standalone FLEXnet license server or manager.

If you plan to customize your license management and use a seperate single license server or 3-server group, take special care to ensure that the hostname and hostid information you provide here is correct for the license server(s) you intend to use. You may wish to consult with your systems administrator regarding any pre-existing license servers, before completing this license registration form.

If you will be using three redundant license server nodes for your license management:

If you will be using a single, standalone license server [maybe one of your GO-Global servers, maybe not]:
